Five R-Journalists here on the Rollins campus will share the day-to-day details of what it’s really like to be a student at Rollins. You’ve done the research and read the brochures, but they’ll answer your questions personally. What are Rollins’ classes like? What activities can you get involved in? What is it like to live in the residence halls? How’s the food? Who will you meet?
Now in its fifth year, the R-Journalists are a special group of students who are selected to share their views of campus life via their blog entries, complete with photos and videos. This year, there was a record number 59 applicants vying for one of the five spots—the highest number since the launch of the program as a pilot in 2004. Meet the Rollins College International R-Journalists
Rollins’ unprecedented efforts to educate students for global citizenship and responsible leadership have received national recognition. According to the Institute of International Education, Rollins ranks among the top 25 colleges and universities for its study abroad program. More than 200 Rollins students—the largest group ever in the College’s history—are “Spanning the Globe” throughout summer and fall 2009. The students are traveling to 15 countries from Australia to Ecuador to Spain to the United Kingdom and some students will even spend a semester at sea. Rollins has affiliate programs around the world and also offers field study opportunities as well as study abroad opportunities through other universities.
This year, the Office of International Programs selected four Rollins students—studying in Australia, France, Jordan and Japan—to share their experiences.
